About The Equal Home Finance Bureau
We are not lenders or mortgage brokers! The Equal Home Finance Bureau was created to
do one thing: provide consumers with information to help them save hundreds and thousands
of dollars on their home loans. We DO NOT provide home loan financing, nor are we associated
with other real estate companies or associations. For this reason, we can give totally unbiased
advice for saving money on home loans and provide a neutral forum for consumers to speak freely
about their questions and complaints. You will notice no banner ads. You will notice no banking
relationships. If you submit comments for helping other consumers, your information will remain
private and you will receive no information unless you specifically request it.
Our information is gathered from current and former mortgage brokers, attorneys who specialize
in residential real estate, and other real estate professionals from every aspect of the home
loan business. However, the most important point of gathering information comes from you, the consumer,
the everyday person spending your hard-earned money to live the American dream and buy their own home.
You shouldn't have to overspend thousands of dollars simply because a mortgage professional leverages
what they know against what you don't.
Unfortunately, what our extensive research has uncovered is a flurry of unfair practices nationwide.
We have tracked major "predatory lending" practices and the lawsuits that followed where lenders and
mortgage professionals were successfully caught for literally robbing from their customers at the closing
tables. Further, we try to track every instance possible of those practices that don't become lawsuits, and
leave consumers victims to unscrupulous mortgage professionals.
While we take precautions to provide as timely and useful information as possible, prudence suggests that
we provide this legal statement regarding the use of the information in this site:
